• Whether fuel economy has dropped
• For any exhaust smell or obvious leak

What a shop may check

An example diagnostic direction, not a guaranteed procedure:

• Scan tool and live oxygen/air-fuel sensor data
• The sensor heater circuit and wiring
• A check for exhaust leaks near the sensor
• Fuel trims to see how the engine is compensating

• Don’t just swap the oxygen sensor named in the code
• Don’t ignore an exhaust leak that can fool the sensor
