Auto Star is in Graham, about 7 miles from Spanaway and roughly 14 minutes on a normal day. Most people take Meridian E north and cut over on 176th to get here. We're not around the corner, but we're not a haul either — drop the car off in the morning and it's an easy trip back.
We work on cars from Spanaway Lake, Bresemann Forest, the Elk Plain border, and the Parkland edge — basically anyone who ends up near the Roy Y junction or Spanaway Lake Park on a regular basis. It's a mixed area, and the cars that come in reflect that.
The pattern we see most from this side of the county is brake wear. Pacific Ave is stop-and-go for a good stretch, and that kind of driving is hard on pads, rotors, and eventually transmissions too. Brake repair is the single most common job we do for Spanaway customers, and it's usually not a mystery why once we hear where the car spends its time. If your pedal feels soft, or you're hearing a grind that wasn't there a month ago, that's worth getting looked at before it turns into rotor or caliper work.
We're a small shop. Jabarjeet Singh handles A/C and electrical work, and Gurjivan Singh, his brother, runs car sales — both of them are here, on the floor, not off in an office somewhere. Tony Sindhu is our lead mechanic for driveability, engine, and transmission diagnostics, plus brakes, oil changes, and light body work. The front desk writes up service and can walk you through what's actually wrong before we touch anything. We speak Punjabi here too, if that's easier for you or someone in your family.

From Spanaway it is roughly 7 miles — north on Meridian E then west on 176th — and typically about 14 minutes outside of rush hour. If you know Spanaway Lake Park and the Roy Y junction, you are on the right road.
