Every repair gets a photo inspection. We can text or email you photos of the leak, the worn part, the problem — so you see it, not just hear about it.
You get an estimate before we start, and nothing happens without your OK. No surprise bills.
If you don't need the work, we'll tell you. We'd rather keep you as a customer than sell you a repair you don't need.

How we work
You see the problem and the price first.
Free inspection · Photos of what we find · Written estimate · Your approval before any work
We fix what you approved — nothing more.
No unnecessary repairs · No surprise bills · Questions always welcome · Safety-critical vs. can-wait, explained
We look for the sensible option.
Less expensive fixes when they exist · Price matching · If it's not worth fixing, we say so
A real example
A customer came to us after having a check-engine code read at O'Reilly, expecting to spend around $700 on a part. We checked it ourselves, found the part didn't actually need replacing, cleared the code, and the light stayed off. So instead of doing the $700 job, we told them they didn't need it — and to come back if it returned.
That's the whole idea: we'd rather tell you that you don't need a repair than sell you one you don't. Not every check-engine light works out this way, but every one gets checked properly before anyone spends money.
Fair pricing
We're an independent shop, not a dealership, so it costs less to run — and we pass that on.
We source from several suppliers — O'Reilly, AutoZone, NAPA, Seattle Automotive, and sometimes the dealer — and we price match.
You get an estimate to approve first, we look for the less expensive fix, and financing is available through a third party.
Book a visit, or call and tell us what the car's doing.
Back on the road
When the repair is straightforward and the parts are on hand, we move fast. Our suppliers can get parts to the shop quickly — O'Reilly sometimes within about ten minutes — and many common repairs are done in about a day. If it's going to take longer, we keep you posted. And if the car can't come to us, we can arrange a tow.
Repair and used cars
Because we have our own repair facility, we understand a vehicle mechanically before we ever sell it. Our used cars get a multipoint inspection, diagnostics, and any repairs or maintenance they need first. You can talk to the mechanic who inspected the car, see the inspection, or bring your own mechanic. We won't knowingly sell an unsafe vehicle — and financing, a warranty, and trade-ins are available, with servicing after you buy.
Straight answers
Sometimes a repair costs more than the car is worth. When that happens we'll explain why, help you separate what's actually necessary from what can wait, and — only if you want — talk through your options, including trading in or finding another vehicle through us. The point isn't to sell you a car. It's to give you an honest recommendation so you can decide.
Why Auto Star
Before Auto Star, Jabarjeet Singh was a car enthusiast — working on his own cars and helping friends and family with theirs. When he saw the shop come up for sale, he reached out to the owner, Jamey, and bought it. That hands-on, do-it-right approach is still how the shop runs. And because it's a small family business, when you call you can actually reach the people running it.
