What we found
We traced the leak to the engine oil cooler, which sits tucked under the intake manifold on this engine and is a known weak point on the 3.6-liter Pentastar. The throttle body was also due for attention. What we did
Nick removed the lower intake manifold to reach the oil cooler, replaced the cooler assembly and its gaskets, fitted a new throttle body, and finished with a fresh oil and filter service. How it turned out
No more oil leak, and the engine idling clean and steady again. The 3.6-liter Pentastar's oil cooler is a common leak point, and because it lives under the intake it is easy to ignore until oil is dripping. Catching a seep early keeps it from turning into a mess and a much bigger job.
